- plank: taking no specific action leads to gain (=staying in the plank, thinking about something else)
- pull-up: repeated, deliberate action is needed for any gain
- while pull-ups may be more effective if done, they're way harder to do often

- example: time spent biking from A to B probably exceeds time spent deliberately running by x100 or x1000
